@Bibleman we need you

@Xi Jinping @Soldz (CF) OT is based on Judaism and Mosaic Law, although the Jews themselves settled in Canaan, with Abraham's promise, but they were largely corrupted by the Canaanites—and so was their religion, their worship, and law—which Jesus sought to correct as the Law evolved into this contorted vision of Statism. The Christian God is taught to be loving, forgiving, and accepting; but the Jewish God is jealous, violent, bloodthirsty, and demands blood offerings and sacrifices, much like the heretical Canaanites. An example of their corruption and how deep it goes can be traced back to Aaron and the worship of the golden calf (false idols).

2019-07-13 15:23:24 UTC

That's a big claim you got there any proof to back it up

2019-07-13 15:23:38 UTC

*the bible*

God has 613 Laws.

2019-07-13 15:24:00 UTC

There are 613 bones in the human body

2019-07-13 15:24:26 UTC

Abraham came from Sumeria (pre-babylon) and settled in the "Promise Land" (Canaan). Also you're referring to the Torah, which is based on Jewish Law.

2019-07-13 15:24:32 UTC

Not that I care much tbh but people fail to understand that you don't need to have one rooted mindset and they can change or are read differently anyways

2019-07-13 15:25:04 UTC

Mosaic Law is mostly expanded upon from the Noahide Laws

2019-07-13 15:26:22 UTC

then there is the Messianic laws

2019-07-13 15:26:27 UTC

or rather, law

2019-07-13 15:28:45 UTC

Wicked entities cannot give birth to Holy ones

2019-07-13 15:29:09 UTC

But Mosaic Law, when zealously worshipped, was idolatry in itself—however the Law was to preserve culture, not determine salvation. Jesus wanted people to work on faith, not in accordance with law, because works without faith are dead. St. Paul also taught to find the Christ (Spirit of God) in yourself, and to emulate Jesus of Nazareth. This was about achieving salvation through the Grace of God and faithfulness, not by obedience to the State.

Galatians 2:21

**Galatians 2:21 - New Revised Standard Version (NRSV)**

```Dust
<21> I do not nullify the grace of God; for if justification comes through the law, then Christ died for nothing. ```
2019-07-13 15:31:10 UTC
Fair point
2019-07-13 15:31:19 UTC
But are they not allowed to work in tandem?
2019-07-13 15:32:35 UTC
Well, ideally, "sin" is transgression against the law—just meant that the OT overemphasizes the importance of it though.
Romans 7:1-6
2019-07-13 15:34:06 UTC
**Romans 7:1-6 - New Revised Standard Version (NRSV)**
```Dust
An Analogy from Marriage

<1> Do you not know, brothers and sisters—for I am speaking to those who know the law—that the law is binding on a person only during that person's lifetime? <2> Thus a married woman is bound by the law to her husband as long as he lives; but if her husband dies, she is discharged from the law concerning the husband. <3> Accordingly, she will be called an adulteress if she lives with another man while her husband is alive. But if her husband dies, she is free from that law, and if she marries another man, she is not an adulteress. <4> In the same way, my friends, you have died to the law through the body of Christ, so that you may belong to another, to him who has been raised from the dead in order that we may bear fruit for God. <5> While we were living in the flesh, our sinful passions, aroused by the law, were at work in our members to bear fruit for death. <6> But now we are discharged from the law, dead to that which held us captive, so that we are slaves not under the old written code but in the new life of the Spirit. ```

**Galatians 5:14 - New Revised Standard Version (NRSV)**

```Dust
<14> For the whole law is summed up in a single commandment, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself." ```
The pot was stirred when we allowed immigrantion
@Enn I know the Bible very well. You call it the Old Testament to demonize it. At least Christian bibles do that. While Jesus and the Apostles lived the Bible was the entire Bible. Nothing old about it.
You seem to get everything wrong about the Bible. You seem to think Jesus taught some brand new religion that had nothing to do with the Bible. Yet your New Testament was never even written by Jesus. Just old almost ancient memories of Jesus when the Gospels were first written 60 years or more later.
Jesus mostly quoted the Bible as any good teacher would. Thou shalt love Yehovah with all your heart is Deut 6. Leviticus 17 is Thou shalt love your neighbor as yourself.
