They use fetal cells to grow more of them then seperate it with bacteria blocking screens (for long term vaccines). They then place them in a different solution that the virus can maintain itself in. Usually they can last a few days outside of cells because they dont require energy (except heat debatably which is do sble)

Some side effects are just effects one random someone who was unfortunate had in the trials. Like seizures for some random medicine that would make no sense. But once it happens they have to put the may cause side effect on there. The other ones are weak links or actual side effects. Thats how it basically works
