Antarctica is more controlled than North Korea. Sure you can go there in many ways and visit small areas of it. But it is highly controlled.

Many have wanted to be able to go there and fly over it or sail to it take a snowmobile up to explore. But unless you are highly connected it is impossible to gain permission to do it.

You dont need a permit of permission... many go climb the highest peak there

Yes... just like EVERY OTHER tallest mountain on earth... Denali, Everest, Kilimanjaro... they all cost THOUSANDS to climb because you need support/guide/equipment etc
