2019-07-17 12:56:57 UTC

Oh god wrong channel

2019-07-17 13:57:34 UTC

@mellowchromatic post thid type of stuff in <#484514023698726912> <#484515816625274891> or <#484524786081333265>

2019-07-17 16:25:29 UTC

how does the weather work? why is there wind?

2019-07-17 17:59:16 UTC

Convection basically. The only type of weather that has been seen to not involve convection is radiation fog. Everything else seems to have some form of convection as a source of energy

2019-07-17 18:01:24 UTC

**(note) Convection is basically that hot air rises because its less dense for those people who dont know

2019-07-17 18:55:14 UTC

Are the people here in the "the sun is a projection" crowd or the "sun is much smaller and much closer" crowd?

2019-07-17 19:01:58 UTC

Both sometimes

2019-07-17 19:02:01 UTC

I’ve heard both

2019-07-17 19:44:34 UTC

correct me if I'm wrong here but if we are actually surrounded by an ice wall wouldn't we just be able to fly over it?

2019-07-17 19:47:04 UTC

Also I know this is off topic but when I clicked on mineyful I saw a role saying "Nukes are real" does this mean there are people who believe nukes aren't real?

2019-07-17 19:56:35 UTC

Yes, we would be able to fly over it

2019-07-17 19:56:41 UTC

To answer your question

2019-07-17 19:57:25 UTC

But what do flat earthers propose lies beyond the ice wall?

2019-07-17 19:57:50 UTC

I guess, uh, nothing

2019-07-17 19:58:13 UTC

well thats a little anti-cliamtic

2019-07-17 19:59:01 UTC

Also on the topic of fake nukes if anyone believes that I'd love to hear your reasoning on it. If so please @ me

2019-07-17 20:01:39 UTC

Fly from Australia to the southern tip of argentina

2019-07-17 20:01:52 UTC

You will get there in like 5 hours

2019-07-17 20:02:15 UTC

If earth was flat, this would take 40-50 hours

2019-07-17 20:02:45 UTC

why would it take so long?

2019-07-17 20:03:16 UTC

Because flat earthers believe the world is splayed out from the north pole

2019-07-17 20:04:38 UTC

See how Argentina and Australia are on opposite ends?

2019-07-17 20:05:05 UTC

So if flat earth was true, flying from one to the other would require you to fly over most of earth

2019-07-17 20:05:26 UTC

But in reality you just fly right over Antarctica and get there in a few hours

2019-07-17 20:05:52 UTC

where did you get 40-50 hours from?

2019-07-17 20:08:43 UTC

Just an educated guess

2019-07-17 20:09:18 UTC

Should be clear that whatever amount of time it takes to actually make that flight wouldn't be possible on a flat earth

2019-07-17 20:10:27 UTC

@the21cat So you're saying hot air rises and causes the wind?
also, since it's rising, it's getting closer to the sun (source of heat), so why does it cool down?

2019-07-17 20:10:33 UTC

I think 40-50 hours may be a little off when you consider that the WR for circumnavigating the earth is 67 hours

2019-07-17 20:12:56 UTC

Welp, that only drives home my point
