What do you mean "planets aren’t physically observable."?
look down and you will see a planet
We can see literally see planets, go out and buy a telescope if you don't already have one and look for them.
You can see them.
I can see a planet as a physical object?
Even with everything else about "They are just lights in the sky", we can obviously tell and see that they aren't.
yes
Yes we can.
Wait.. No, I can’t.
Neither can you.
a planet is a physical object
Well can you please pick up Mars
Then we can see it's a ball for ourselves
We wouldn't be able to observe it if it weren't visible to us, and yes what I just said was obvious but it is a physical object in that regard as well.
@eletrick33 So why can't I touch the planets?
It's there, it's not in our heads.
They are too far.
because their far away
My little girl is smarter than you, because you can't reach them
uh ok
It's too high
🤦
ofc its like really far away do you think we can just extend our arms
@eletrick33 That's a REALLY GOOD IDEA, let's build a MASSIVE ROBOT ARM and grab it
that wont work either you gotta fly to it
Don't ask me what I think of you, I might not give the answer that you want
me to
But how?
a rocket
🚀
Even the genius asks questions
Isn't it supposed to be a vacuum up there?
let me define vacuum real quick
vacuum-
a space entirely devoid of matter.
So how can you get there if rockets produce meaningless thrust in a hard vacuum?
this is how rockets work in space
“Since there is no air and space, rockets need to take oxygen with them into space. Inside the rocket's engine, fuel and oxidizers are ignited in the combustion chamber, creating hot, expanding gases. That gas has pressure, and it pushes harder against the top of the rocket than the bottom, making it go up or forward”

Can you show me a video of a rocket in a vacuum chamber of pressures of 10^-4 torr or lower please?
