Howdy folks.
What exactly is this server?
And that means what?
Everything about everything, good to know.
It should be more common in a way.
That's an interesting statement.
>>serverinfo
Far as what?
I wouldn't know unless you asked me which specific thing you are referencing.
What about the rest of this <#495783790367735828>?
No talk of them?
Is there no talk of them here?
Not many if at all any.
I'd prefer to say that some are just taken out of context then anything.
I was just at 24/7 for the last 3 months.
I just got banned before coming here.
24/7 Flat Earth Debate.
The bigger discord server.
I thought most people did know of it.
It's not a good server to go into if you want honest conversation.
They strawman the globe a lot and use their bias-evidence with an iron fist.
Anyone who disagrees in the way that they see as rude is normally removed.
I've never been to a beach.
I don't live near any.
But what's your point about the beach?
Why that one?
Of all questions, why would that one matter?
Elaboration would be good.
Over your feet?
Do you mean literally?
So when you say over your feet you actually mean it appears to be curved in a way?
Well I've never been but I'd need to watch some videos on it to understand what your talking about.
Tell your friend that the curve isn't small. The earth is just big so the curve can't be seen that easy depending on where your looking.
I'm a globe earther.
Undecided?
Ah.
I need proof of a flat earth that answers important questions before actually putting my belief into it.
Why is that?
I don't care much about looking towards NASA unless it is important to answers.
That's not what I said.
If the answer I'm looking for and NASA has researched it and looked into it, I'm going to look into what they said about the issue.
Or any other space agency for that matter.
We can't experiment in space and you are right about that.
At least not the everyday gal and guy.
I don't see a problem when it comes to space and going to look at what the professionals say.
But regarding other things here on Earth we can do it ourselves depending on what it is.
Is that a serious question? Because there are many things that I could bring up if you actually want to know.
Now here is a better question for you, out of everything you've heard against the flat earth why would you lend more towards it?
The fact that you can see Polaris from the southern hemisphere? I'd say that is a good piece of proof.
The question of why they'd do it should be irrelevant to the conversation at hand, Griffin.
The why isn't always important but the effects of it.
What is the flat earth explanation for Polaris?
That's it?
What is Polaris then?
@California Nightmare Explain.
You have to understand that a couple thousand miles per hour in space-time is pretty small.
You keep saying that we wouldn't see it but there is an explanation of why we see it. Even if it wasn't Polaris something is clearly coming from that direction.
I wouldn't know the answer to that Jeremy.
Lol.
It's not impossible, again, there is an explanation of why it happens.
Polaris is just one example of how flat earthers taken things out of context due to their lack of understanding on the subject. I'm clearly not as educated in it but the fact that certain flat earthers dismiss it simple due to it's distance is hardly any proof.
I can give you an explanation if you'd like. @California Nightmare
You want an explanation on the stars aligning or something right? @California Nightmare
And if you mean why doesn't Polaris move from where we see it? It's due to it's distance away from us and how it is from our north pole. @jeremy
It isn't that Polaris doesn't move but we are too far away for us to notice it's movement. @California Nightmare
You asked for the explanation and I summed it up nice and sweet for you. @California Nightmare
I didn't make a baseless assumption, when did I do that?
That's not exactly true and you did say it yourself. We know it is far enough to that it's mass or light can't be seen moving but yes it isn't perfectly aligned with the north pole either a few degrees if not a single degree off from what I know. We see other stars move due to their distance as well, some are closer and others are further. @California Nightmare
Let me explain again, the closer the star the faster we see it move and further away it is the less we see with it's movement and if it is bright enough and far enough, like Polaris is, we wouldn't notice it's movements. @California Nightmare
@California Nightmare I'm sure you also know we aren't "flying" towards it as well, right?
Gravity has a lot of effect on things and does exist from what we know.
There is no other explanation against gravity.
This is why I don't bother talking about gravity with flat earthers.
No, because you can't disprove it. @California Nightmare
Either side talking about gravity will always end with one side being right and other side not being right.
In the first 2 minutes of the video he says that the Cavendish experiment can't be replicated when it actually can. Sin: 1. @California Nightmare
If you know you can do this on your own, why don't you try it? @California Nightmare
@California Nightmare Yeah I just finished watching the video and the person in it clearly both misrepresents what is happening and lies about what gravity actually is.
It isn't a theory Jeremy.
There is an answer to it.
You just are undecided due to whatever mindset you may have.
Howdy folks.
Human space travel, sure.
We've made advancements in rockets so that is always good.
Rockets can land now which is better then back then.
But I don't see the point in discussing space with someone who probably doesn't believe in it.
It doesn't have to be only the moon landing.
We've explored more then just that.
What's wrong with that?
And if I can ask, do you believe in space or is this just a rant?
Well, it could be repeated by a space agency but not the common people.
Why would you believe in space but doubt them getting to space?
Good proof.
You sure got me on your side.
@Deleted User You shouldn't say someone is wrong if you aren't going to back it up.
What a good question.
Maybe... just MAYBE they aren't faking space videos?
