Gravity is simply an effect of the local geometry of the universe according to the theory of general relativity. There is no mysterious force that applies, it's just pure geometry.

again, the universe is a plane, the sun is massive, it creates a bending in space and time, the earth fall into that bending, starts orbiting around it. a sane person would think that the earth should move directly to the sun across the bend and collide with it, maybe few spins, to be generous. an insane person would think the earth would move in full circles each time slowely like an anime or like Einstein did, think about this, 4.543 billion years of orbiting without colliding and the distance is actually getting wider, isn't that crazy? guys be honest
