Those pictures are *from different satellites*, from different points in the Globe, all put together. It is what we call a *composite* image.
And also - The information that the earth is an oblate spheroid comes from *NASA themselves.*
And once again, you're putting things out of scale.
6 356.8 kilometers is the Earth's polar bulge -
6 378 kilometers is the equatorial radius -
This is a difference of 22 kilometers. It's impossible to notice this difference visually.

@Derek Nelson However - on that VERY IMAGE you sent - the radius, although in miles, is given as equal upon any point in the circle.
