is

Definitely can't measure any curve.

2019-05-27 00:33:57 UTC

u cant measure a curve u think its a curve because they told u it was they stole perspective

Can see Lake Tahoe curve in that NASA pic. But we can’t in real life. Okey dokey.

2019-05-27 00:35:07 UTC

I don’t see any difference

You're joking

tbh i've thought about people saying "how come we cant see the earth curve" BUT when you think about it, the human eye cannot physically see far enough to actually see the land curve. from the exact point we are standing, whether it is on mount everest or on the ground, we cannot see the earth curve because of the fact that the earth is too big to see that far.

2019-05-27 00:37:28 UTC

but u can see the boat going over the curve 3 miles away

2019-05-27 00:37:47 UTC

?

2019-05-27 00:37:59 UTC

where

2019-05-27 00:38:06 UTC

any ocean in the world

2019-05-27 00:38:16 UTC

do you have a photo of this

2019-05-27 00:38:30 UTC

i was asking

2019-05-27 00:39:15 UTC

ur saying from top of mount everest we cant see a curve but arent we supposed to be able to see boats go over the curve 3 miles away at the horizon ?

2019-05-27 00:40:00 UTC

you can still see land if it's 10 miles away. no matter what, we cannot actually see the curve.

2019-05-27 00:40:18 UTC

Min, you are my hero

2019-05-27 00:40:33 UTC

u cant see the curve cause their is no curve

2019-05-27 00:40:36 UTC

By default, the earth would have to be bigger than 24,901 miles in circumference then.

2019-05-27 00:40:46 UTC

A lot bigger.

2019-05-27 00:41:36 UTC

the fact that it is 24.901 miles in circumference is the exact reason why we cannot see the curve.

2019-05-27 00:41:36 UTC

You* there* can’t*

2019-05-27 00:41:44 UTC

Because with a sphere of 24,901 miles in circumference, we are absolutely supposed to see a curve at even a small altitude.

2019-05-27 00:42:04 UTC

if we could see the earth curve within 3 miles, wouldn't the earth be a crap ton smaller?

2019-05-27 00:42:20 UTC

think about it.

2019-05-27 00:42:27 UTC

physics

2019-05-27 00:42:28 UTC

Not according to spherical trigonometry.

2019-05-27 00:42:47 UTC

globe people say we can see the boat going over the curve at the horizon i didnt make that up

2019-05-27 00:42:53 UTC

i dont even believe that lol

2019-05-27 00:43:45 UTC

i do belive the globe stole perspective and got everyone thinking u can see 300 l ight years with the naked eye

2019-05-27 00:43:54 UTC

it isnt whether or not they label themselves as "globe people" or "flat earthers" it's literally just the fact that Âż it is literally not possible for us to see the earth curve lmao.

2019-05-27 00:44:16 UTC

u cant see something that isnt there

i don't know whether or not there is a curve BUT I DO know that it is humanly impossible to see a curve at such a low height

You really need to stop listening to people like Neil DeGrasse Tyson, who say we can’t see the curve, when he’s a proven liar, and we absolutely are supposed to see it.

2019-05-27 00:47:42 UTC

i've never even heard a word out of "neil degrasse tyson"

2019-05-27 00:47:55 UTC

i'm only basing my argument off of things i personally know.
