no you dont see any curve that is just folly

It is. If you look at the horizon edges on the left and right it curves up and down, indicating a fish eye for the purpose of FOV
Fish eye convex, it bends everything that has a light wave sent from it

Thats why certain mirrors make you look weird and make everything around you bend the same way

All large spherical objects will appear flat close up, you need to be extremely far out to fully view it
