What do you mean "is mass surveillance being used to gather our personal data?" Is that even a question? The NSA has been watching us for years. Snowden leaked it already. Why else are they building mass data collection centers? They work with google, and google tracks everything we do. Its even been proven that devices track your movements even if the tracking button is turned off. I have no doubt Amazon alexas and Google homes are spying on us

I mean, it really isn’t all under the control off the federal government. Special organizations such as the CIA, FBI etc. kind of have their own “liberty” to do what they want.
