not anymore lol

2019-06-28 15:36:22 UTC

Its a false equivalence - I think it’s a little unfair for me to have to have “been there” to verify, yet derek posted about the temperature of the thermosphere without having to “be there

2019-06-28 15:37:21 UTC

Different burdens of proof, plus I could basically just use that argument over and over for anything that you post. Its a bit disingenuous.

2019-06-28 15:37:27 UTC

well then i dont need to show you that i can fly to prove i can fly

2019-06-28 15:37:51 UTC

The temperature of the thermosphere is what we are told. Yet nowhere in real life can we verify that’s the case with other elements enduring that temperature in a vacuum.

2019-06-28 15:38:32 UTC

But posting about the temp of the thermosphere without also posting about how objects radiate heat AWAY is disingenuous.

2019-06-28 15:38:47 UTC

It shows lack of understanding

2019-06-28 15:38:51 UTC

Radiating heat away is a Claim.

2019-06-28 15:38:55 UTC

Prove it.

2019-06-28 15:39:09 UTC

Show me how that is done in a vacuum.

2019-06-28 15:39:11 UTC

science does not deal in proofs

2019-06-28 15:39:27 UTC

Real science does. Pseudoscience doesn’t.

2019-06-28 15:40:06 UTC

science never deals in proofs. Look up "scientific proof" and the first google hit will be "scientific evidence"

No such thing as scientific proof

2019-06-28 15:40:40 UTC

Of course. Yes, Google is the answer to everything. Nevermind they bury information like nazi’s burned books.

2019-06-28 15:41:21 UTC

@Derek Nelson use ecosia

2019-06-28 15:41:22 UTC

Ask anyone in science if they EVER deal with PROOF or if SCIENTIFIC PROOF is a thing.... they will all say no

2019-06-28 15:41:29 UTC

That's actually true. Since science is based in philosophy, there is no settlement of information about anything.

2019-06-28 15:41:50 UTC

Everything is up for debate and nothing is ever settled.

2019-06-28 15:42:00 UTC

If that’s the case then what category would we place proof in?

2019-06-28 15:42:08 UTC

None

2019-06-28 15:42:10 UTC

mythical

2019-06-28 15:42:14 UTC

Court.

2019-06-28 15:42:28 UTC

Court is still subjective and often flawed

2019-06-28 15:42:29 UTC

no such thing as 100% proof

2019-06-28 15:43:16 UTC

Philosophically, I can't agree to the term, proof.

2019-06-28 15:43:35 UTC

Well, in that case, philosophy can kiss my ass.

2019-06-28 15:43:53 UTC

I require proof.

2019-06-28 15:44:02 UTC

You'll be waiting a while.

2019-06-28 15:44:07 UTC

If you want to learn how science deals with evidence, theories and laws, - https://youtu.be/lqk3TKuGNBA
But I know you wont watch it

2019-06-28 15:44:59 UTC

You might as well have typed "I DEMAND PURPLE UNICORN LEPRECHAUNS" -

science does not deal in proof

2019-06-28 15:45:14 UTC

So you mean to tell me, mainstream science gets to tell us how everything works, without ever having to prove a single thing.

2019-06-28 15:45:26 UTC

Watch the video, it explains everything

2019-06-28 15:45:30 UTC

There’s another word for that.

2019-06-28 15:45:35 UTC

It’s called religion.

2019-06-28 15:45:56 UTC

Can you 100% prove... ANYTHING?

2019-06-28 15:46:08 UTC

By the scientific method, yes.

2019-06-28 15:46:25 UTC

Is there something wrong with observation, measurement, and experiment?

2019-06-28 15:46:29 UTC

Even by science, they dont deal in proofs... (told you that you wouldnt watch the video)

2019-06-28 15:46:36 UTC

the vid does explain it well

2019-06-28 15:47:18 UTC

At this point, we arent even speaking the same language... proof does not exist

replace it in your vocabulary with "evidence" - and you will be part way there

2019-06-28 15:47:46 UTC

Part way to a point where proof doesn’t matter. Sounds like a dead end.
