Because it is more likely than not that is what we perceive. What we see. How it works. Reality seems to be what we see is just a shadow of reality.

Like when you walk and see your shadow on the concrete. It takes your three dimensional body and makes it into a two dimensional shadow.

Besides I am four dimensions. Not simulation. I am rather sure we live on a four dimensional earth but we can only see a shadow of that in our three dimensional sight.

In a plane I looked up and saw the sun. Down a bit and another red object in the clouds with light rays streaming from it. That could be either a simulation or four dimensions. I find the later more likely.
