I take half a cup of sugar add it to a bottle of Juice in a Soda bottle I move it to. I loosen the lid on a regular basis and in three or four days it is made. It depends on how hot the house is. Then I put it in the fridge. If you want it for alcohol it is a bit more work and I suggest buying a device to allow the pressure to release. You then use two cups of sugar.

Brewers yeast is more about flavor. Since I just want the carbonation I do not use it.
