That is funny for me. My wife would have hated it. I think most women would. I see men who do that as pure evil and more evil would be the man who would say that is OK.
So this claim the light can bend and extend your vision is crazy. If it did all you would see is a blur. If you could discern anything it would be barely visable.
I saw a lot of mirages in Arizona. They looked like lakes on the sand. Waving a lot. Not at all what we see from long distances like Chicago from 40 miles away or further.
It proves when people claim that a temperature difference in the air bends the light they are just lying. Even if it did you would not be able to identify buildings or they would look like waves.
