I mean, yes, pro-life is the notion of being against abortions and the death penalty is, well, the punishment by death for a crime

When one supports the death penalty for murder. That absolutely is defense of life. Fact is in prison people can still murder and they do so a lot. So death is the only valid penalty that will in fact stop a murderer from ever doing it again if done quickly.

So it is pro life on both.
