I didn't say he kills you, I said that he makes sure your afterlife sucks.
I didn’t get to know him by thinking he was the greatest.
Rather the opposite. I found out when I had nothing left to lose, to give it a try. For all I knew, he was a complete tyrant, and hated me.
I was quite overwhelmed, to find out otherwise.
And yes, it was through a prayer I made to him.
Again, my point is that you are being punished for having the opinion that he dosen't exist or that he isn't tee greatest.
Punished for thinking otherwise.
Well, thinking ill of him is it’s own punishment. Because it’s actually a lie.
We do it to ourselves.
Hell for not believing he is good.
I remember a time the same applied for other people.
It was called communism.
As far as I know, hell is for people who know he is good, and reject him anyway.
Which is absolutely freaking nuts.
See, punishing people for rejecting him, no matter how good of a person you are.
There’s no such thing as a person being good without God. Even if they can do many good works. It doesn’t mean anything if it doesn’t honor the Good that made it to be so.
It’s kind of like having a good mother who loves you, and not loving her back, despite doing many other good things.
We as human beings cannot ultimately survive without love. And that does come from God.
Stephen hawking.
An atheist, a man that did nothing bad to anyone, brought a lot to the science world, and was crippled by God.
Just because God knows what we're ultimately going to choose does not mean he forces us to choose it. My advice is; die to yourself a little more every day. The time is coming when the hearts of men will be exposed. We do not need to be afraid. Life on earth lasts only a moment; our lives are miracles we must see them that way.
He was a good man.
By Human standards he was indeed
Oh, so, let me get this straight, if you reject God you are a bad person.
Why, because God said so?
Seems pretty biased to me.
I never said that Uncle
my words stand for themselves.
They are meant to bring peace, hope, and joy.
I find that many crippled people, are adored by God. Just as we are. And in fact their physical ailments, are something that are merely temporary, but will produce a quality in eternity others of us won’t have.
I remember a time when if you thought a specific person wasn't the greatest, they would get put in prison or even killed.
God gave Hawking a gift and he used it well.
VERY well.
But again God is not going to force you choose him, ever.
Well, what if someone breaks your legs and cripples you, would you thank that person?
He wants you to, yes. But he won't force it Uncle.
Would you thank that drunk driver for the gift he has given you?
God no more breaks that persons legs than he forced you to type the sentence you just did. It's about free will, the right to choose.
Stephens hawking didn't "choose" to be paralysed.
And God did not choose to paralyze him.
Didn't you just said that "it was a gift from god"?
