It’s why Mars’ moons Phobos and Demious are shaped more like a potato, and our moon is much more spherical. Our moon was big enough to collapse into a spheroid from its own gravitational pull.

Because we only feel a change in acceleration, not a constant speed. On a calm day when a plane is at steady speed and altitude, you don't feel like you are moving.

@Nickk#7725 you do not perceive the motion of your car moving at 60 mph either. You only perceive accelerations. If for whatever reason the Earth stopped moving, then yeah you’d probably feel it
