why are markets rallying today?

trump lost and the senate is lookin GOP

trump losing = stability/predictability

divided congress = status quo (also stability/predictability)

also markets often rally at the end of the year

the gov budget deficit explodes at the end of every fiscal year too

idk the stock market sometimes recesses at the end of the year

looking at historical performance the only noticeable cases were 2015 and 2018
