The distance between the stars is so great that even the distance traveled around the sun isn't great enough to produce much parallax
Add to it that many of the stars in our sky are moving with our star as they circle the galactic center, and you get even less movement from them.

Spectography can accurately measure the distances of star light.
drive by the mountains and youll notice that they move very slowly compared to how your traveling
its the same with the stars
but to an even greater effect
