That’s when you stop fearing the future, and start to love every second that comes next; if you would but calm down, relax, and meditate under a tree in the same place every day, no matter where you are, you will see God in the patterns of everything. The leaves seem to blow in completely inexplicable patterns, swirling towards unfathomable ends, creating art right in front of you. One leaf will leap right out of the picture, while the identical leaf right next to it remains still. For every time you look into nature seeking God, you always also see the devil. Everything is a duality, and you start to feel exactly what represents the latter: the crows, barking at beauty and fleeing from those who know the game. Its that swarm of termites floating ominously next to you, or those flies which seem to drop whatever it is they were doing to just land on or around you, staring at you. That symbol, or sign in nature, that always seems to precede some unforeseen pain or misfortune. Sometimes these flies will mate right in front of you, as a despicable mockery of God’s gift of life. Endlessly they attempt to clean themselves, and never do they find the beauty they seek. You see that spider that you didn’t notice until it started fleeing from you, that cockroach on your floor that was already writhing in pain just for daring to enter your presence, only to spring back up and flee once you release them back into nature, as if their only problem was you. That cat which could not meet your gaze, and seemed terrified to notice that it had dared to meet it even for a second. You walk by a dog, and though it seems to bark against your presence, you then realize he is actually calling out in pain, desperate to be saved by the redeeming light that is you, trapped in a Hell he knows isn’t right. Some things seem drawn to you like they would be drawn to a tree, whilst others run as if there’s nothing in the world that could cause more pain.
