Even if they took pictures, you wouldn't believe.

2019-08-08 14:34:02 UTC

But don't worry, people are working on bringing more people to space.

2019-08-08 14:34:03 UTC

pictures from a pink fairytale land?

2019-08-08 14:34:06 UTC

"i wonder why"...

2019-08-08 14:34:12 UTC

So maybe your kids will be able to go there

2019-08-08 14:34:49 UTC

You cannot have gas pressure without a container. And ther is no rocket thrust in a vacuum. It has _nothing_ (per vacuum definition) to push off of.

2019-08-08 14:37:04 UTC

If you have a vacuum, and no object is pulling it towards itself while burning towards it, the eliberation of gas will push you towards the other side.
Newton's third law in action.

2019-08-08 14:37:20 UTC

So, you can technically launch yourself with your farts.

2019-08-08 14:37:21 UTC

"pulling it towards" ?

2019-08-08 14:37:57 UTC

Planters.

2019-08-08 14:38:06 UTC

@Robaticon So then you are talking about a skateboard bowlingball example? You stand on a skateboard and throw away a bowling ball to gain momentum?

2019-08-08 14:38:53 UTC

No, because the force used to push the ball is absorbed by your arms.

2019-08-08 14:39:13 UTC

More of a, "fire extinguisher office chair" example.

2019-08-08 14:39:35 UTC

Point being. If you say that rockets propel itself because it throws out matter the other way. Then literally it has to throw away a lot of mass.

2019-08-08 14:39:53 UTC

How that works on earth is that it pushes off of the atmosphere in addition to pushing away on the gas it already pushed out.

2019-08-08 14:39:58 UTC

In vacuum you have none of these things.

2019-08-08 14:40:02 UTC

only the first one.

2019-08-08 14:40:06 UTC

throwing out substantial mass..

2019-08-08 14:40:11 UTC

Not matter buddy

2019-08-08 14:40:11 UTC

Energy

2019-08-08 14:40:16 UTC

Lol

2019-08-08 14:40:27 UTC

Here is where you are where you are wrong.

2019-08-08 14:40:29 UTC

So you say it throws out energy on one side and propel itself the other way because of it? 😃

2019-08-08 14:40:32 UTC

Do you have a demonstration?

2019-08-08 14:40:35 UTC

Or is it just faith?

2019-08-08 14:40:36 UTC

In vacuum you also don't have gravity.

2019-08-08 14:40:47 UTC

Gravity has never been proven. thats just more faith.

2019-08-08 14:40:58 UTC

Which means that there is nothing stopping you from moving.

2019-08-08 14:41:05 UTC

Yes, and there's many real life scenarios to prove it

2019-08-08 14:41:10 UTC

No air resistance, no gravity.

2019-08-08 14:41:35 UTC

Just you, an astronaut, farting your way back to earth.

2019-08-08 14:41:43 UTC

So please. Demonstrate it

2019-08-08 14:41:53 UTC

Show me a demonstration of something in a vacuum throwing away energy to gain momentum.

2019-08-08 14:42:01 UTC

Sure, buckle up buddy, and bring some cash, we are going with a rocket.

2019-08-08 14:42:07 UTC

Lol its your claim 😉

2019-08-08 14:42:09 UTC

Or maybe we will hot wire one from Nasa.

2019-08-08 14:42:18 UTC

its on you to prove your claims.

2019-08-08 14:42:46 UTC

We have had people in space, proving that.

2019-08-08 14:42:51 UTC

But you seem to deny it.

2019-08-08 14:42:54 UTC

How can you prove it?

2019-08-08 14:42:57 UTC

You cannot.
