You are comparing Something people does when they want to take their lives to some fantasy fairytale we have been given that we have no way of validating or falsifying.
Sticks and shadows
```HYMN TO "R"
Our Eratosthenes whose sticks measured the heavens,
Hallowed be thy name,
Thy circumference come,
Thy radius be done,
On Earth as it measures in the heavens,
Give us this day our daily shadows,
And forgive us for assuming the distance to the sun,
To give us the globe.
R-men```
How is this anything similar?
I never specified how tall the building is.
&flatsmack @The Gwench
Now Flatsmacking The Gwench#9716!
Finished Spamming The Gwench#9716!
And when people want to die, they jump on something solid.
what?
Plus, I asked for you to prove it to me.
Where i live they jump on water.
But ok
I don't believe what others have said.
But still. no relevance to anything
This is nothing similar..
I want you to prove it to me.
I don't believe what others have said.
@Heider I think it’s a troll at this point
It originally began when he tried to argue against science
I want to see it with my own eyes.
@Robaticon We are discussing the claimed radius of earth. Not anything people claims. This is just garbage.
@Deleted User yeah.
And, @Deleted User, I am trying to make a point.
What point
I still don’t see gas pressure without a container
@Heider oh, but you seem to not believe what others have said (nasa) and experienced (astronauts) because you haven't experienced it for yourself.
what's up
But you do believe that you won't survive a, let's say 5 meter fall in 2 meters of water because others haven't.
Not because you haven't.
Or someone right in front of you hasn't.
@Robaticon I dont take their words for these things. Thats exactly right. Its the basis for our perception of the entire world. How is this similar to your stupid tower example again? Right.. Its not relevant to anything, as was the first thing i pointed out.
Oh, but it is very relevant.
You see, I( playing as you) asked you (playing as me) to show me right in front of me that if you jump, you won't die.
Even though you have no way of climbing the tower.
Just as I, have no way of getting into space and taking pictures of the earth for you.
@Robaticon The story about "vacuum of space"(and globe generally) forms how we see the entire world. How is that comparable to what happens when you jump from a giant tower? Thats a spesific action that is not relevant to anyone else than those who wants to "jump from a insanely tall tower".. If you continue to compare these things then you just prove that you are a troll. This is ridiculous.
Agreed
Again, as I specified before, it is a theoretical question.
And it proves exactly what I wanted.
That you don't believe something unless you have seen it in front of your eyes.
But you do believe other things without experiencing them yourselvs.
