so if someone tells me, here's a way to get to the truth

2019-08-29 20:59:44 UTC

i would love to pursue it

2019-08-29 20:59:47 UTC

Me too, you come with a claim give me the source for that claim.

2019-08-29 20:59:53 UTC

That source isn't quantifiable

2019-08-29 21:00:06 UTC

what do you mean by quantifiable?

2019-08-29 21:00:18 UTC

you want numbers?

2019-08-29 21:00:19 UTC

We can't understand the data clearly.

2019-08-29 21:00:25 UTC

i see

2019-08-29 21:00:27 UTC

hang on

2019-08-29 21:03:05 UTC

The basis of the argument is flawed too, you can have connected flights and still not be cheap. Canada to US to Mexico is not cheaper than Canada to Mexico, even if Canada to US is more popular than to Mexico.

2019-08-29 21:03:29 UTC

What have I walked into

2019-08-29 21:03:33 UTC

hell

2019-08-29 21:03:50 UTC

@rivenator12113 im getting more quantifiable information but im actually curious, why would you not want to look into a source of information or potential information?

2019-08-29 21:04:23 UTC

personally, I've looked quite extensively into FE models and claims

2019-08-29 21:04:35 UTC

@WonTon Look at what I just typed, I have that to back me up. Even if it was more in demand, the basis of the argument falls.

2019-08-29 21:04:36 UTC

i don't just dismiss what other people say and say well you don't have a source well too bad

2019-08-29 21:04:39 UTC

ill do my own research

2019-08-29 21:05:17 UTC

no that's besides the point, im just curious because your default was, "you want the opposing side to provide you with a source?"

2019-08-29 21:05:33 UTC

my question to you is why would you not want to do your own research for the pros and cons of your own argument?

2019-08-29 21:06:14 UTC

Yes, an opposing party should not be the one fortifying your argument because you're too stupid to make a good one.

2019-08-29 21:06:51 UTC

Well then where's your proof that flight prices are solely reliant on distance?

2019-08-29 21:07:26 UTC

woah

2019-08-29 21:07:29 UTC

Ok just saying this conversation leads to know where and plus you can't win the conversation

2019-08-29 21:07:34 UTC

no need to resort to ad hominems now

2019-08-29 21:08:22 UTC

@rivenator12113 I guess the point I'm getting to is your ultimate pursuit the truth? or prove FE?

2019-08-29 21:08:39 UTC

since the way you answer and react seems very much like the latter rather than the former

2019-08-29 21:09:33 UTC

A debate goal isn't truth, it's to prove X point of view. If we had a friendly conversation yes maybe

2019-08-29 21:09:36 UTC

the truth is flat earth. if you believe in anything besides flat earth you are not pursuing the truth.

2019-08-29 21:10:07 UTC

lets forget debate for a minute

2019-08-29 21:10:07 UTC

well that's ironically contradictory

2019-08-29 21:10:08 UTC

doesn't matter what you believe, or if everyone is delusional, the truth will remain the truth regardless of what people believe.

2019-08-29 21:10:22 UTC

you can think the earth is a orange that you can eat, doesn't change reality.

2019-08-29 21:10:30 UTC

as your goal in life in general, your pursuit should be truth no?

2019-08-29 21:10:43 UTC

neil degrasse tyson can say its a pear all he wants, doesn't make it a pear.

2019-08-29 21:10:46 UTC

not "prove my already pre conceived biases"

2019-08-29 21:10:50 UTC

but no one here can seem to prove that FE is reality

2019-08-29 21:10:59 UTC

cuz then we're getting dangerously close to confirmation bias

2019-08-29 21:11:26 UTC

how do you figure out the shape of something?

2019-08-29 21:11:27 UTC

we're way past that

2019-08-29 21:11:45 UTC
