going into a gender neutral bathroom was an interesting experience
it was not uncomfortable, but a new experience
the beauty in it was that no one cared or objected to it
it felt out of the ordinary, because of course ! it goes against what we're familiar with
but that's just change
change will always be feared and feel uncomfortable
but the first step of removing that prejudice and fear is the inclusion of it in our daily lives
the first thing that happening when I stepped into a gender neutral bathroom was being greeted by a girl at the door
she was holding it closed for her female friend while she was using the restroom
the second thing that happened is that when I entered, another group of women came in, and used the bathroom and thought nothing of it
thinking back, I would have done what the first group did, just because it felt so alien and new

but with experience comes new knowledge, and that knowledge was knowing that there are no real issues with gender bathrooms
of course, there will be incidents with creeps, but that's just how anything in life goes
they are just isolated events relatively close to nil when compared to the grand scheme of things
but of course they'll just be overinflated in the media in importance
