this isnt civil debate
my comment about strawmanning was in regards to adding unicorns to my simulation because doing so has nothing to do with my claims.
Attack Helicopter CatToday at 2:05 AM
so i ask if you could put fluffy unicorns into your simulation so theyll exist in reality?
how does the sky momic reality?
mimic
in your simulation the sky isnt shown
i was asking if you could do something for me to see if your claim worked as you said
if you think i wont mute you for making false acussations youll find out youre wrong
ok, I'll run through this to keep the debate going.
If you put fluffy unicorns into my simulation, they will not exist in reality.
The virtual sky mimics reality in that it moves the same way.
The sky is shown by the stars swirling around the earth.
your simulation doesnt show the sky
The stars are the sky.
no
how do you mean?
the sky
at night.
your model doesnt show the sky https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/440422247061127168/544614987386322945/RotatingEarth.gif
It wasn't my intent for this to get heated. Have a good night, Cat.
@Spectranaut Thanks for posting the video! I'll take a look.
@Drewski4343, you're welcome.
@Spectranaut That's actually an interesting theory he has. But he hasn't accounted for a couple things. 1) In this model, the stars are reflected, which would explain the bidirectional movement, but not the fact that the southern hemisphere has an entirely different set of stars and constellations. This model would produce a mirrored version of the northern hemisphere's sky. 2) There would be massive distortion at the celestial equator. Like, stars would appear stretched, similar to how you'd see objects at the edge of a lens.
