for me personally, I think there are a lot of lies and deceptions concerning things nuclear, radiation, the nuclear energy industry and government regulation of it as well as up to the possibility that nuclear weapons may be fake at least in a way... make them seem more dangerous than they actually are - trumped up fear porn if they are real at all - there is the chance that it could just be motion picture trickery using lots of TNT / slowing down the explosion while playing creepy music / superimposing imagery of sunrise and other effects to fake it.
