NASA isn't as big as it seems and people believe what they say regardless and they are in a position of power. If the earth was flat, god forbid, they could convince us that its round because we've grown up in a culture where it is the case. If you were born into a country that burn people for being "witches" or killed gay people you'd think that's the only way and how it should be regardless of it was the truth or not.
