if there's space

2019-10-18 17:18:26 UTC

I claim existence

Ha!

Not trying to be awkward but the ice wall don't exist ,it only exists on a ae map as a planisphere, the ice wall is actually a continent ,all as one ,the way it's presented on the ae map is because they have squashed the spherical map and put it on a flat one ,they squash down the north pole and turn antartica inside out from the middle which turns antartica into a ice wall ,it don't actually exist

2019-10-18 17:21:38 UTC

That's why it distorts down south

2019-10-18 17:22:19 UTC

You have to apply maths to use it ,you have to calculate the distortion ,you an use it to navigate but you need to apply maths ,that was the only reason that map was invented

2019-10-18 17:22:36 UTC

It was never a flat earth map

2019-10-18 17:22:51 UTC

People who say it is are lying or disinformed

2019-10-18 17:23:13 UTC

Or misinformed

2019-10-18 17:23:15 UTC

Rather

2019-10-18 17:23:48 UTC

I think most FEers admit that map isn't a *true* representation of flat earth, just that it mostly likely comes the closest? At least, I've heard that from some.

2019-10-18 17:24:12 UTC

It's certainly used as gospel, though, from some.

2019-10-18 17:24:19 UTC

You won't be able to create a working flat earth map without distortion period

2019-10-18 17:24:37 UTC

It's impossible

2019-10-18 17:25:02 UTC

You can however flip it all inside out and turn it concave

2019-10-18 17:25:08 UTC

That works

2019-10-18 17:25:37 UTC

Yeah, you can't make a 2D map of the globe without distortion, *period*.

2019-10-18 17:25:52 UTC

Instead of squashing the spherical map to a flat earth map ,for concave just peel away the outside of the sphere to make it flat

2019-10-18 17:26:03 UTC

Works just the same

2019-10-18 17:27:03 UTC

Like peeling a orange ,but no orange in it

2019-10-18 17:27:43 UTC

My fav is claiming flight paths don't make sense on the Mercator map. Yes, of course. Because it's a heavily distorted representation of the globe.

2019-10-18 17:28:02 UTC

You will end up with this ,either way

I have a animation of the actual transition if anyone wants to see

From spherical to flat ae

He squashes it

2019-10-18 17:30:45 UTC

So you can see

2019-10-18 17:32:08 UTC

My question is why go to such effort to promote a map that don't work, why is there so many flat earth youtube channels etc

2019-10-18 17:32:40 UTC

I don't think it's just to have a laugh or to test people or whatever

2019-10-18 17:32:50 UTC

I suspect it's hiding concave earth tbh

2019-10-18 17:32:59 UTC

Invert it all
