You have to apply maths to use it ,you have to calculate the distortion ,you an use it to navigate but you need to apply maths ,that was the only reason that map was invented

It was never a flat earth map

Yeah, you can't make a 2D map of the globe without distortion, *period*.

Instead of squashing the spherical map to a flat earth map ,for concave just peel away the outside of the sphere to make it flat

My fav is claiming flight paths don't make sense on the Mercator map. Yes, of course. Because it's a heavily distorted representation of the globe.

My question is why go to such effort to promote a map that don't work, why is there so many flat earth youtube channels etc

I don't think it's just to have a laugh or to test people or whatever

I suspect it's hiding concave earth tbh
