The way I grew up, guns were just a part of life. Not for Criminal activities. We hunted, fished, grew a garden, livestock....etc. Everyone had a least one gun in their truck...even in high school. Sometimes we would hunt before and after school. We had to eat ya know. Of course that was a long time ago. Things are much different today.

@gavin giant --let's put those rules in place for the first amendment.....You have to join a speaking club for 6 months before you can voice your opinion openly. Then you have to demonstrate you are cable of speaking in order to have free speech?? Doesn't make any sense does it.....apply the same logic to the other amendments and the logic falls apart !
The 2nd amendment protects the first amendment!
