Congressman Beto O’Rourke will hold a Town Hall at the Los Arcos Ballroom at 2205 W. Whitney Ln. in Odessa Monday from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. to meet with residents of South and West Odessa, and the farmers of the Permian Basin to discuss their issues and concerns and lay out his plan for better representation in Washington, DC.
O’Rourke has appeared on multiple national TV programs to discuss the most recent issues with the separation of children and parents of people coming through Mexico seeking asylum and has been a vocal opponent of the Administration's Zero Tolerance policy.
O’Rourke is in his second term as Representative for the 16th Congressional District in El Paso.
His platform includes Term Limits for Congress which is why he is running for Ted Cruz’s seat, as well as:
Every Texan who can work should work.
Students should have access to great schools with strong local leadership and great teachers.
Every graduating high school senior should be able to pursue a Bachelors or Associates degree or skill certifications that will allow them to pursue their potential at low or no cost to the student.
Healthcare is a right, not a privilege.
We must commit to giving every veteran and service member the dignity and support they've earned.
Our service members, whose lives are on the line for this country, should be supported with a coherent strategy.
Immigrants should have a lawful, earned path to citizenship.
We must get big money out of our democracy and end political gerrymandering.
End perpetual re-election and bring new voices into Congress.

Those 463 migrants are among about 1,000 who are highly unlikely to be reunited with their 5- to 17-year-old children by Thursday, despite a court-ordered deadline handed down a month ago. Those parents have joined a growing group of migrants: parents who were once held in U.S. immigration custody whose whereabouts the government has now lost track of.
