OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) — A bomb squad has cleared a "beeping" package delivered to an Oklahoma City Planned Parenthood clinic.
Oklahoma City Police Department Lt. Michelle Henderson reports that at 10 a.m. July 25 an employee at Planned Parenthood, near NW 23 and Walker, called police after a package arrived at the clinic and was making strange noises.
The clinic was cleared and authorities then set up a perimeter around the area. A bomb squad arrived on scene and used a robot to check the label on the package. After contacting the sender on the label, it was determined that the beeping noise inside the package was an alarm on medical equipment. Planned Parenthood Great Plains President and CEO Brandon Hill said the equipment was a small refrigerator.
