So this is how a "teacher" responds to a first grader. A first grader that seems bright and imaginative. And you know what? Seems like the supposed teacher is "freaked out" that this first grader is smarter than her. #goharold

FOX Carolina) -
Two Upstate sheriff's departments are warning residents to remain vigilant as scammers make the rounds impersonating deputies.

The Union County Sheriff's Office says a person going by the name of "Raymond" has called residents claiming to take donations for the office, ranging from $35 up to $500. "Raymond" also says he wants to have a bike ride to raise money for the department. The department is planning neither of those events.

UCSO advises those called to contact their local law enforcement agency or to dial 911.

Another scam is also spreading in Rutherford County, albeit one that is intended to scare residents into giving money.

The Rutherford County Sheriff's Office says someone claiming to be a deputy marshal with the department will tell the citizen they have a warrant for their arrest because the person didn't show up for jury duty, before demanding that the victim pay for the "fine" via telephone.

RCSO urges residents to not give financial or personal information to the caller and to hang up.

“The argument that the two parties should represent opposed ideals and policies... is a foolish idea. Instead, the two parties should be almost identical, so that the American people can throw the rascals out at any election without leading to any profound or extensive shifts in policy. Then it should be possible to replace it, every four years if necessary, by the other party which will be none of these things but will still pursue, with new vigor, approximately the same basic policies.”
