According to the IDF Spokesperson's Unit, some 7,000 Palestinians took part in the violent riots in several locations along the Gaza border, throwing stones and explosive devices towards IDF troops.
A Palestinian man was shot dead by IDF fire and a Palestinian teenager was shot dead by a sniper during violent demonstrations along the Gaza border fence, the Hamas-run health ministry in Gaza said in a statement on Friday.
Identified as 43 year-old Ghazi Mohammad Abu Mustafa, he was reported to have been shot in the head east of Khan Younis and died at the hospital. Another 40 Palestinians were said to have been injured in the demonstrations.
According to the IDF Spokesperson's Unit, some 7,000 Palestinians took part in the violent riots in several locations along the Gaza border, throwing stones and explosive devices towards IDF troops. The demonstrators also burnt tires and hurled a grenade at troops, which landed inside the Gaza strip.
With fronts ripe for conflict to break out at any moment, the IDF’s ability to operate effectively on multiple fronts simultaneously is crucial for Israel to deal with the region’s unpredictability.
Wednesday night was a busy one for the Israel Defense Forces, striking Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip while almost simultaneously attacking Islamic State positions in southern Syria.
The strikes in Gaza came after an IDF officer was shot by sniper fire in an ambush near Kibbutz Kissufim. The officer, who was struck less than a week after an IDF soldier was killed by sniper fire in the same area, was evacuated in moderate condition by helicopter to Beersheba’s Soroka hospital.
The strikes against the Islamic State were in retaliation for two errant BM-21 Grad rockets fired by the Islamic State against regime troops landed in the Kinneret.
The Israeli Air Force conducted an airstrike on a terrorist cell in the northern Gaza Strip on Friday afternoon according to the IDF Spokesperson's Unit.
Earlier on Friday afternoon a terrorist cell threw a molotov cocktail at IDF soldiers in Israeli territory, according to the IDF Spokesperson's Unit.

Herman Shine, who is believed to be one of the last survivors to have escaped Auschwitz, has died.
Shine, who worked as a roofer at the Nazi death camp before making a daring escape with his good friend Max Drimmer, died on June 23. He was 96.
Fewer than 200 prisoners escaped from Auschwitz.
Severe clashes between Muslim worshipers and Israeli security forces near the Temple Mount were reported on Friday in the early afternoon. Stun grenades were used to control the clashes, explosions were heard and smoke was seen.
The cause for the unrest is still unclear.

Israel deported Ebru Ozkan on July 15, a week after indicting her for ties to the Palestinian Islamist group Hamas.
JERUSALEM - Israel freed a Turkish woman accused of ties to Hamas following a request by US President Donald Trump, an Israeli official said on Friday, after the Washington Post reported the deal as part of a failed White House bid to get Ankara to release an American detainee.
Israel arrested Ebru Ozkan while she was visiting as a tourist last month. On July 8, it indicted her in a security court for ties to the Palestinian Islamist group Hamas, charges her lawyer denied and which angered Turkey. She was deported a week later.
The Washington Post reported on Thursday that Trump had asked Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in a July 14 phone call to let Ozkan go in a "trade" for Turkey releasing Andrew Brunson, a US pastor who has spent 21 months in Turkish detention.
"I can confirm that there was such a request by President Trump," an Israeli official said on condition of anonymity, without elaborating.
The US Embassy in Jerusalem had no immediate comment.

As senior Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh meets U.N. Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process Nickolay Mladenov, various Palestinian factions meet to devise a plan.
As residents of Gaza border communities were subjected to nine air sirens and the Israeli Air Force carried out strikes against the Gaza Strip on Wednesday night, both Israel and Hamas are eager to learn what the future holds.
Past agreements fell apart time after time, yet various international bodies are attempting to deescalate the situation.
Kite and balloon terror activities continue as Gaza attempts to continue their strategy that each action by the IDF will be met with a Hamas-led counter-action.
Twenty fires broke out in southern Israel on Wednesday and one fire erupted in Nir Am on Thursday morning. It was quickly extinguished by fire fighters.
Hamas political official Fathi Hamad stated that "the military wing members [of Hamas] are waiting for an order to attack the enemy." UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process Nickolay Mladenov held a meeting with Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh on Thursday to discuss options to deescalate the situation.
Public Security Minister Gilad Erdan said during a radio interview on Thursday to Kan radio that Israel is making "great strides" decision to launch a wide scale military operation in the Gaza Strip against Hamas.
Tawfik Tirawi, former commander of the PA's General Intelligence Service and member of the Fatah Central Committee, made the rare charge in a statement issued by his office.
Some of the commanders of the Palestinian Authority security forces in the West Bank are “terrorizing” women and children, a former PA security chief said on Thursday.
Tawfik Tirawi, a former commander of the PA’s General Intelligence Service and member of the Fatah Central Committee, made the rare charge in a statement issued by his office.
Tirawi did not name the commanders of the PA security forces who he says are responsible for “terrorizing” Palestinians.
Nor did he say which security force he was referring to. The PA has several security services that operate in the West Bank.
Tirawi did not provide any details about the alleged practices of the PA security commanders or the purported victims.
However, he also accused some PA security chiefs of “humiliating” Fatah members.
Saturday's "important" meeting will be chaired by PA President Mahmoud Abbas, Saleh Ra'fat, member of the PLO Executive Committee, told the PA's Voice of Palestine radio station on Thursday.
PLO leaders are scheduled to hold a meeting in Ramallah on Saturday to discuss recommendations by various Palestinian bodies to “redefine” the Palestinians’ ties with Israel.
At least two key decision-making PLO bodies have called in recent months for revoking Palestinian recognition of Israel and halting all forms of security coordination between the Palestinian Authority and Israel in the West Bank.
Saturday’s “important” meeting will be chaired by PA President Mahmoud Abbas, Saleh Ra’fat, member of the PLO Executive Committee, told the PA’s Voice of Palestine radio station on Thursday.

Ra’fat said that the PLO leaders will discuss the final recommendations of a special Palestinian committee concerning the future of relations between “Palestine and the Israeli occupation state.”
However, it was not immediately clear whether the PLO Executive Committee would endorse the recommendations.
Last May, the Palestine National Council (PNC), the PLO’s parliament-in-exile, called for revising ties with Israel.

The relationship between our people and their state with Israel is one that is based on the conflict between our people and our state, which is under occupation, and the occupation force,” the PNC said in a statement issued after its 23rd conference in Ramallah. “The PNC calls for reconsidering all the [Palestinian] obligations that contradict [this stance].”
The PNC also entrusted the PLO Executive Committee with the task of “revoking” the PLO’s recognition of Israel until Israel recognizes the Palestinian state on the pre-1967 lines, rescinds its [1968] decision to annex east Jerusalem and halts settlement construction.
In 1993, the PLO recognized Israel’s right to exist in peace and security, accepted United Nations resolutions 242 and 338, and rejected “violence and terrorism.” The recognition was included in a letter sent by former PLO Chairman Yasser Arafat to then Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin.
The PNC emphasized the need to implement an earlier decision by another PLO body, the PLO Central Council, to halt all forms of security coordination between the PA and Israel.
Earlier this year, the PLO Central Council also decided that the agreements signed between the Palestinians and Israel, including the Oslo Accords, were no longer effective, and reiterated its refusal to recognize Israel as a Jewish state.
On the eve of the PLO gathering, the PA’s Foreign Ministry issued a statement condemning what it called Israeli settlement expansion in the West Bank. It was responding to a report to the effect that Israel had approved the building of 20 new housing units in the settlement of Metzad in Gush Etzion.
The PA ministry claimed that the decision was part of an Israeli scheme to prevent the establishment of a viable and sovereign Palestinian state. It also lashed out at the US administration, saying it was “seriously and publicly involved” in Israeli settlement policies.
The PA ministry denounced recent statements by US Ambassador to the United Nations in support of Israel, and said her position “exposed the magnitude of blind American bias in favor of the occupation and settlements.”

One thing is for sure: If Twitter continues to delete fake, spam or robot accounts, these numbers are likely to keep dropping.
Over the past 30 days, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu lost close to 30,000 Twitter followers.
Was it something he said? Not exactly.
Since Twitter announced earlier this month that it would be deleting millions of fake accounts, many prominent users have lost tens of thousands – or even millions – of followers. So how did the most Twitter-famous Israelis fare?

How many fake Twitter followers does Netanyahu have?
The most popular Israeli on Twitter – superstar Gal Gadot – came out of it pretty well. Since the Twitter purge began, Gadot lost around 12,000 followers, a drop in the bucket of her almost 2 million Twitter fans. In fact, over the past 30 days, Gadot ended up with a net gain of 20,000 followers despite the culling.
Netanyahu, the second-most popular Israeli on Twitter, saw more of a hit, but still not a serious one. The prime minister dropped more than 28,000 followers in the past month, around 2% of his 1.3 million followers.
Supermodel Bar Refaeli, who uses her Twitter account almost exclusively to link to Instagram photos, lost close to 37,000 followers in the past 30 days; almost 4% of her more than one million Twitter fans.
Another Israeli with a significant social media following is comedian Guri Alfi, who dropped more than 17,000 followers in the past 30 days; just over 4% of his more than 400,000 fans.
When Twitter announced the move earlier this month, it noted that “most people will see a change of four followers or fewer; others with larger follower counts will experience a more significant drop.” The reason for the decision, it said, was so people can “have confidence that the numbers [of followers] are meaningful and accurate.”
Where do all these fake accounts come from? There are many companies that sell fake followers to those who want to increase their numbers. But robot accounts can follow anyone they choose, and often follow a wide variety of people in an effort to look more realistic. Fake accounts also exist for many reasons aside from inflating follower counts, and it’s impossible to be sure of their purpose. Twitter’s recent purge is also far from exhaustive; it noted that it specifically targeted accounts the social media giant locked due to suspicious activity.
Several media reports estimate that close to 15% of all Twitter accounts are likely fake. In an article on Gizmodo.com earlier this year, the co-founder of TwitterAudit.com says it believes 40-60% of all accounts could be bots.
Globally, many particularly popular accounts saw significant recent drops. Former US president Barack Obama lost close to 2.4 million followers in the span of one day earlier this month, though he still has more than 100 million Twitter fans. President Donald Trump, a particularly active user on the platform, saw his follower count drop around 400,000 people, though he still gained overall in the past 30 days, and stands at more than 53 million.
Oprah Winfrey lost around 1.5 million, while Katy Perry dropped close to 3 million, and Justin Bieber saw a loss of around 2.7 million followers.
In Israel, the majority of popular Twitter accounts belong to journalists and politicians. The most followed after Netanyahu is Channel 2’s Amit Segal, who saw a drop of close to 17,000 in the past 30 days, more than 4% of his followers. Channel Ten’s Alon Ben-David lost more than 10,000 followers, while the network’s Raviv Drucker dropped just under 10,000.
The Zionist Union’s Shelly Yacimovich saw close to 9,000 followers disappear in the past month and Bayit Yehudi leader Naftali Bennett lost just over 8,000 in the same period.
One thing is for sure: If Twitter continues to delete fake, spam or robot accounts, these numbers are likely to keep dropping.
As a soldier, it is my duty to respond to Trump’s threats. If he wants to use the language of threat, he should talk to me, not the president (Hassan Rouhani),” said Major General Qassem Soleimani.
Iran’s commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Quds Force Maj.-Gen. Qassem Soleimani warned US President Donald Trump against threatening Iran, promising that were the US to begin a war Iran would finish it.
“Gambler Trump! I alone will stand against you. We, the Iranian nation, have gone through tough events. You [may] begin a war, but it is us who will end it. Go ask your predecessors [about it]. So stop threatening [us]... We are ready to stand against you,” Soleimani was quoted as saying by Iran’s Tasnim News Agency in the central city of Hamedan.
“We are near you, where you can’t even imagine... Come. We are ready,” he said.
Earlier in the week, Trump threatened Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on Twitter, warning in text written in all caps locks of unprecedented “consequences” if Tehran would threaten Washington:
“NEVER, EVER THREATEN THE UNITED STATES AGAIN OR YOU WILL SUFFER CONSEQUENCES THE LIKES OF WHICH FEW THROUGHOUT HISTORY HAVE EVER SUFFERED BEFORE. WE ARE NO LONGER A COUNTRY THAT WILL STAND FOR YOUR DEMENTED WORDS OF VIOLENCE & DEATH. BE CAUTIOUS!”
On Thursday, Soleimani addressed Trump’s tweet, which came after Rouhani threatened that “war with Iran is the mother of all wars.”
“As a soldier, it is my duty to respond to Trump’s threats. If he wants to use the language of threat, he should talk to me, not to the president [Rouhani],” Soleimani said.
Soleimani, one of the most prominent and influential military figures in Iran also mentioned the war in Afghanistan and the 2006 war between Israel and Hezbollah:
What the hell could you do during the 33-day war with the evil Israeli regime, which is like a weight hanging around your ankles? You experienced all sorts of defeats and setbacks and you are telling us what errors you can commit in Gaza? Is it not that you accepted Hezbollah’s conditions for ending the war?
“What have you been able to do [to us] over the past 20 years that you did not do? And [you] are threatening us now?” he asked.
Soleimani’s words come as tensions have risen between both the United States and Iran as well as between Israel and the Islamic Republic.
Israeli officials have repeatedly voiced concerns over the growing Iranian presence on its borders and the smuggling of sophisticated weaponry to Hezbollah from Tehran to Lebanon via Syria, stressing that both are redlines for the Jewish State.
Israel has admitted to having carried out one hundred strikes in Syria against Iranian and Hezbollah targets and is suspected of carrying out hundreds of others.
On Wednesday, the commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Aerospace Force Brig.-Gen. Amir Ali Hajizadeh stated that the IRGC’s fighter jets will be equipped with cruise missiles with a range of 1,500 kilometers.
Hajizadeh made the announcement on the sidelines of a ceremony in Tehran where 10 Sukhoi Su-22 fighter jets had been upgraded with new systems that would allow them to carry and fire smart and cluster bombs as well as air-to-ground and air-to-air missiles with pinpoint accuracy, Tasnim said.

Clare Bronfman, along with others, recruited and groomed sexual partners for NXIVM founder, Keith Raniere, using harassment and coercion to intimidate perceived enemies of the Raniere.
Seagram heiress Clare Bronfman and three others were arrested in upstate New York for their ties to an alleged sex cult that reportedly pretends to be a self-help organization.
Bronfman, 39, daughter of the late Canadian-Jewish billionaire and philanthropist Edgar Bronfman, was charged in Albany with racketeering conspiracy in a case involving the group NXIVM, The Associated Press reported.
According to the Albany Times-Union, Bronfman and the others recruited and groomed sexual partners for NXIVM founder Keith Raniere using “harassment, coercion and abusive litigation to intimidate and attack perceived enemies and critics of Raniere.” Raniere himself was arrested four months ago in Mexico and charged with sex trafficking.
According to Binsack's daughter, he died of heart problems in Las Vegas. He was 48 years old.WOW
