^ this was an example given in my experimental design class

2020-08-19 23:40:05 UTC

I would need to know which received the chemo

2020-08-19 23:40:15 UTC

all 10 did

2020-08-19 23:40:34 UTC

gotcha

2020-08-19 23:40:54 UTC

I do understand how the placebo works

2020-08-19 23:41:37 UTC

I knew this channel would pop off eventually

2020-08-19 23:41:59 UTC

@Smoke And it did

2020-08-19 23:42:08 UTC

It did indeed, aha

2020-08-19 23:42:13 UTC

lets not get off topic..

2020-08-19 23:43:34 UTC

My conclusion is that most people who argue in favor of vaccinations without monetary incentive haven't thought about them critically

2020-08-19 23:43:54 UTC

can you address my question?

2020-08-19 23:44:18 UTC

lets not go off topic

2020-08-19 23:45:15 UTC

Sound like the drug may have interacted with the chemo

2020-08-19 23:45:50 UTC

We dont know that

2020-08-19 23:45:53 UTC

Honestly, can we just put an end to this insufferable buffoonery? There is no link causal link between vaccines and autism - despite the fact that dozens of studies have looked for one. This fanciful notion that there is an exercise in imagination and idiocy of the highest order. What on earth would it mean to “show that vaccines are safe”? How about this: They conclusively and demonstrably provide protection against deadly diseases without resulting in any meaningful complications in >99% of cases - extending life expectancy and helping to ensure against the violent retirement of our species at the hands of a viral agent. How on earth does that not qualify as “safe” to you? The fact that these claims are so pervasive, and that non-vaccinations are on the rise, is an indictment of stupidity on the human race. These vacuous, imbecilic, vexatious, nonsensical claims endanger the lives of others and undermine our robustness as a species. I’m sorry to be so vituperative, but I have little patience for people fanning the flame of infectious disease by frightening gullible parents into denying their newborns one of the greatest advancements in the history of the human race . It’s appalling, repugnant, irresponsible sophistry devoid of reason and rationality and fueled by foolishness and lunacy, and has the inevitable result of endangering the lives of human beings and degrading immunity.

2020-08-19 23:49:10 UTC

@davesp1903 If you had multiple autistic members of your family you may not be able to dismiss it as buffoonery so easily. You'd want to know too

2020-08-19 23:49:47 UTC

@Deleted User or maybe you will have a bias and would be clouded due to emotional pain

2020-08-19 23:50:22 UTC

which is why detectived who have had thier daughter raped cannot serve on a rape task force

2020-08-19 23:52:05 UTC
2020-08-19 23:52:46 UTC

@Deleted UserI am genuinely sorry that any member of your family is experiencing suffering, but you are actively contributing to the probability that more and more children will suffer and die from entirely preventable diseases by engaging in this loathsome nonsense and propping up insane conspiracies and pseudoscientific codswallop that has been debunked time and time again.

2020-08-24 15:17:22 UTC

So, I think Haidt's work on moral foundations theory in relation to personality psychology is the path toward understanding morality outside of the subjective domain and works better than just claiming "my moral foundation is x"

2020-08-24 17:01:28 UTC

So @T2the2ndpowr Sugested I present this idea here. Not my original idea, but still. The coencept of Statis and money to be a religion. That is from the perspective that a religion can be summed up aprpox. to be the belief in a power or entity that may or may not exist that ahve powers humens do not. Thus the state si a religion as in we give it power by believing it to have saied power we do not a. And worship it via taking part in elections and watchin what it does on the screens (TV).

2020-08-24 17:02:21 UTC

Likewise Money can be viewed as a religion as it only have value and power over us from our belief in it having value, in how it works today. (not have it started, being based in gold that have a value).

2020-08-24 17:02:22 UTC

money's already a religion

2020-08-24 18:57:44 UTC

What would a religion that literally worships money be called

2020-08-24 18:58:00 UTC

democracy

2020-08-24 18:59:23 UTC

I would call in capitalism personally if I were to give it a name

2020-08-24 19:00:10 UTC

It’s not worshipped though. Valued yeah. But not worshipped. I’m a capitalist and I don’t find money worth worshipping. I’d imagine I’m not alone

2020-08-24 19:00:45 UTC

@Delta You're not alone

2020-08-24 19:00:57 UTC

If money beacomes everyday part of your life

2020-08-24 19:01:06 UTC

than you worship money

2020-08-24 19:01:09 UTC

no doubt

2020-08-24 19:01:42 UTC

you get stressed beacuse of it

2020-08-24 19:01:43 UTC

you dont litterally worship it, but effectily you do when all you do is chasing the proffits

2020-08-24 19:02:08 UTC

@Delta The bible says whoever you obey is who you worship

2020-08-24 19:02:17 UTC

when proffiting moneterily with your every action becomes a focuys, it in effect becomes the same

2020-08-24 19:02:46 UTC

Yeah but people do things against theyreeconomic interest all the time.

2020-08-24 19:03:23 UTC

people do things against religions interest all the time
