Well, re-consider what you "think" people are doing, and re-evaluate with a clear mind.

2020-08-22 03:22:49 UTC

Just when you said “you’re joking right” sounded a little hostile

2020-08-22 03:23:14 UTC

Not my problem.

2020-08-22 03:24:23 UTC

@JCEN are you a theist

2020-08-22 03:25:07 UTC

@Delta not necessary. I don't feel it makes much of a difference to my "spiritual" beliefs either way.

2020-08-22 03:25:24 UTC

Does it matter if I am theist or not?

2020-08-22 03:25:38 UTC

I’d say you’re a hypocrite if you’re a theist

2020-08-22 03:25:46 UTC

Well, I'm not.

2020-08-22 03:26:29 UTC

Get your facts straight before you do anything but ridicule me. Seems to be a common theme with Theists these days.

2020-08-22 03:26:31 UTC

@JCEN because I'm not sure if a theist can claim he bases his beliefs on fact

2020-08-22 03:26:51 UTC

I agree Passerby. I agree.

2020-08-22 03:27:41 UTC

But my apologies but I seriously thought you were one of the theists on the town hall last nite

2020-08-22 03:28:13 UTC

Why was I mentioned?

2020-08-22 03:28:54 UTC

Cuz I think you offered to copy and paste something to me @Delta

2020-08-22 03:29:33 UTC

I don’t think so

2020-08-22 03:35:51 UTC

@Delta Yeah ur right sorry. Not sure why I saw that

2020-08-22 04:04:46 UTC

@T2the2ndpowr @JCEN Hey so forgive me for my ignorance of the subject of speciation but could you or anybody else point me to evidence of a species changing to a completely different species altogether. An example would be a bird changing to a reptile. Or what i would really like to see is say a plant changing to a conscious organism. Surely somewhere in the fossil records there must be something of that nature.

2020-08-22 04:29:13 UTC

thats not quite how it works

2020-08-22 04:29:32 UTC

ill try and explain it

2020-08-22 04:30:30 UTC

say you have a bird in africa. so that bird has two different tribes

2020-08-22 04:30:48 UTC

both tribes live in the same country in africa

2020-08-22 04:31:40 UTC

so one tribe of birds live in a very food plentiful area where the other does not.

2020-08-22 04:32:12 UTC

so the one tribe of bird goes out looking for an area with the right food source

2020-08-22 04:32:38 UTC

lets say the one tribe of bird flys and flys and then lands in australlia

2020-08-22 04:33:05 UTC

the tribe has found sufficent food and will now live in australlia

2020-08-22 04:33:50 UTC

now since they are in australlia they are in a totally new environment with new predators and a new climate so now they will evolve according to there new situation

2020-08-22 04:34:42 UTC

and then they will then eventually after say a hundred thousand years now be something different to what they originally were a new species

2020-08-22 04:34:51 UTC

thats how speciation works

2020-08-22 04:35:24 UTC

when an animal splits and moves away and then evolves to there new environment into a whole new species

2020-08-22 04:36:13 UTC

such as a hawk and a bald eagle

2020-08-22 05:09:33 UTC

Yes and no

2020-08-22 05:09:53 UTC

Evolution occurs through natural selection which is basically a competition for survival

2020-08-22 05:10:05 UTC

Let’s take the birds that Darwin observed for example

2020-08-22 05:10:11 UTC

no wait

2020-08-22 05:10:23 UTC

speciation is a part of evolution

2020-08-22 05:10:33 UTC

it happened in humans

2020-08-22 05:10:40 UTC

with neanderthals

2020-08-22 05:10:42 UTC

I’m tryna explain natural selection to him

2020-08-22 05:10:45 UTC

@T2the2ndpowr So I guess my original usage of speciation was erroneous. I understood this as adaptation and that speciation would like that bird becoming a different animal to survive

2020-08-22 05:10:53 UTC

Or them idk if they’re male or female

2020-08-22 05:11:01 UTC

@Deleted User can you vc tomorrow
