Why do you think that God would take such a special interest in you?

What makes you believe that a God is talking to you?

@m.miller. I suggest understanding the mechanism in which God speaks to him. Through dreams or visions? Are there any psychedelic drugs utilized? Have any traumatic experiences occurred recently? Or do they just meet over coffee? And of course what exactly does God say to him?

Science works by developing models, deriving predictions from them (if this model is accurate, what would we expect to observe, for example). If those predictions are met, that's evidence for the model, yada yada

But if you try to use science to justify science, that's circular...
