Yep. That's why I started to ask you about which videos were strikes because I immediately presumed it was that one. That's why i mentioned Benjamin A Boyce and Graham Linehan in previous livestream voice open mic debates here. Transgender people need all of our support to live their lives being true to themselves, transgender activists, on the other hand, are the pinnacle of the whole woke cancel culture gone rogue and are vicious in their retribution, ruining careers and livelihoods with no remorse, and then there are the grifters who find a perfect place to hide in all that. Women were the first to be targeted, now they want the men too, and genuine transgender people are being thrown under the bus to do it. Trans Rights Activists are in power (Twitter, YouTube, corporations) pretending they are the powerless and you and I are the oppressors.

Imho natch.

2020-09-17 13:14:18 UTC

@dogbref do you know why?

2020-09-17 13:14:36 UTC
2020-09-17 13:40:32 UTC

i didn't even know twitters could be monetized

2020-09-17 13:48:23 UTC

@ola I second that on the Benjamin Boyce content. I believe his work with the Trans community is some of the most accurate and considerate takes Iā€™ve seen.

2020-09-17 14:07:17 UTC

Oh good @kcon415! I haven't watched most of his stuff about the trans comunity because tbh I needed a break from the war, and I have conflicted opinions about one or two of his guests (Posy Parker, for example) which would colour my ability to listen without prejudice, but the bits I've seen seem to be a positive way of progressing, as seems to be his M.O. with everything. So respect is due to him.

I think @ThePangburn would find Graham Linehan good to talk to. I may be wrong, but he has been at the frontline of this war of ideas re trans activism the past couple of years and is no fool, no coward, and an inspiration in many ways, despite his often bull-in-a-china-shop approach.

2020-09-17 14:16:39 UTC

When you rely on another private company for your income, this is the danger . There seems to be some type

2020-09-17 14:18:31 UTC

youtube needs to decide if they're a publisher or a platform

2020-09-17 14:21:40 UTC

graham linehan is a comedic genius

2020-09-17 14:21:46 UTC

Yes!

2020-09-17 14:21:55 UTC

And so brave.

2020-09-17 14:22:06 UTC

black books is the funniest show

2020-09-17 14:22:56 UTC

No Father Ted is. Black Books is second but Dylan Moran is a genius in his own right!

2020-09-17 14:24:32 UTC

i've never seen father ted

2020-09-17 14:26:06 UTC

"was ranked second to fawlty towers in greatest british sitcoms," wow

2020-09-17 14:55:44 UTC

There was a table quiz, pub quiz, (you may use different terms for them?) last year where the question was about Father Ted and the organisers cancelled Linehan from the answer so that the correct reply was that only his co-creator Arthur Matthew's had written it. And all the woke people cheered. The idea is much like the statue removals, ie we are unilaterally rewriting history ....Orwellian much?

2020-09-17 14:58:16 UTC

I think Father Ted is bizarre the first time you see it, and then suddenly you get it and it's too good to describe and becomes ingrained in life. Incidentally, Fawlty Towers was badly received on its first showing, people didn't get it at first.

2020-09-17 14:59:37 UTC

But in my opinion, Father Ted was a contributor to the break away from Catholic control Ireland managed to start.

2020-09-17 15:00:07 UTC

Which makes it culturally important even if you dont find it funny.

2020-09-17 16:23:08 UTC

@ThePangburn Is this YouTube BS possibly a first shot being fired by that guy who looks like Steve Urkel if he were one of those preachers who always seem to show up for the first week of the semester at colleges to yell at everyone about hell and the evils of buttsex?

2020-09-17 18:22:21 UTC

@everyone every little bit helps. I appreciate any level of support. https://gf.me/u/yzgw89

2020-09-17 18:31:29 UTC

Do you rely on YouTube for a stable or any real source of income?

2020-09-17 18:37:35 UTC

Youtube revenue is a big part of the company income.

2020-09-17 18:41:50 UTC

Youtube provides the best platform for the war of ideas. The variety of people you can reach is unmatched.

2020-09-17 18:46:46 UTC

I donā€™t think thatā€™s the platform they want.

2020-09-17 18:49:30 UTC

Perhaps

2020-09-17 18:54:57 UTC

Google used to have a company slogan, "Don't Be Evil".

When they did the Alphabet parent restructuring, that mysteriously disappeared.

While Google has done far more projects to advance knowledge than many large companies, the whole cross domain tracking and privacy abuse scams they've pulled should get lots of IT, marketing, and C-suite into prison (but it won't).

Of course that pales compared to the arrogant shit Jewboy scammers at Facebook, whose business model started with IP thefts, and expanded into privacy criminal frauds and massive lies to tell users they weren't being scammed as they were. Z should be live streamed being slowly lowered into hot tar.

But then, if one looks too closely, the major stock markets, most large banks, and every telecom that's taken dirty money for FISA and worse scams, also is overdue to be shut down, along with the political conspirators involved. We lack systems to do that, and it would upend major infrastructure to play honestly over that maze of complex crimes.

YouTube et al should be boycotted, regardless of how useful they are. Vimeo is a weak alternative, and maybe less so with them, Barry Diller and Sammy Yagan have quite dirty hands for other IAC/I activities.

That doesn't leave a lot of good options.

Speaking of arbitrary and capricious ToS abuses, does something like the sidearm and ammo image to promo yesterday's Live event topic get considered or invite secret passive-aggressive "report" process, to trigger other adverse actions against the overall channel?

2020-09-17 18:58:44 UTC

@everyone help a brotha out if you can :)

2020-09-17 18:59:16 UTC

Google the browser is a web browser that promoted everything. YouTube on the other hand has its own more strict standards and is appealing to a general audience. And ā€œboycottā€ YouTube, who the minority of people that watch YouTube for a war of ideas because the majority of people watch YouTube for videos of cats playing the piano.

2020-09-17 19:01:37 UTC

I never liked when people who uploaded to YouTube complain when a video gets taken down when itā€™s clearly not in the best interests of the YouTube brand. Im not saying @ThePangburn is going this because he is not. But itā€™s down to YouTubeā€™s discretion as a private company to take down videos they donā€™t feel is in there brands best interest.
