I honestly believe it’s the wokeness that came from the Obama era and the constant invoking of racism from the past on the progressive side that has led us to the tension we see today. Mongoloid as in east Asian /central Asian /southeast Asian.

As India is separated by the Himalayas I wouldn’t think that unless by way of Thailand which shares a similar culture although the influence on Thailand’s culture seems to have come from India and not the other way around. I think most Indian ethnicities are fairly distinct compared to other Asians and probably have history as old as history itself.
