2020-10-04 06:34:58 UTC

and the shit democrats ever did for them for real

2020-10-04 06:35:06 UTC

they ruined My Black Family

2020-10-04 06:35:13 UTC

@platonic chain and those are the systemic problems we should REALLY be addressing and fighting for, not invented ones that only help more authoritarians gain power.

2020-10-04 06:35:14 UTC

Curse them to Hell

2020-10-04 06:35:23 UTC

Basically, yeah.

2020-10-04 06:35:27 UTC

government sucks

2020-10-04 06:35:36 UTC

@platonic chain that's why i will always say job experience trumps degrees. give me the person who's done 4 years of manufacturing work over the one with the bachelors in engineering anyday

2020-10-04 06:35:48 UTC

100%

2020-10-04 06:35:53 UTC

UNFORTUNATELY, they won't get solved, because the real solution are *apprenticeship* systems which are basically like.

2020-10-04 06:35:57 UTC

Check Ben Carson who wanted this job forever

2020-10-04 06:35:59 UTC

Going to make things look inherently racist.

2020-10-04 06:36:08 UTC

I Love Ben Carson with a Passion

2020-10-04 06:36:10 UTC

Because nobody will vouch for le random black kid

2020-10-04 06:36:49 UTC

They will be solved because the current trajectory is untenable and there are voices like Mike Rowe bringing this issue attention. Reforms in student loans (removing them from FedGov) will help the problem massively.

2020-10-04 06:36:51 UTC

He wants to really address this and with $500 Bil, we shall see but give them all vounchers and give stable households tax cuts and what not

2020-10-04 06:36:57 UTC

make Families again

2020-10-04 06:37:11 UTC

CTE school reform will help. I don't like the Perkins Grant going to college track high schools.

2020-10-04 06:37:22 UTC

I am a CTE teacher and I support career focused magnet schools.

2020-10-04 06:37:24 UTC

yes, no more mental institutions of debt

2020-10-04 06:37:32 UTC

Vocational high schools need to be the norm.

2020-10-04 06:37:34 UTC

Magnet schools 🙂

2020-10-04 06:37:40 UTC

> Because nobody will vouch for le random black kid
@platonic chain whereas white families have a history of franchising in their area and being in or close to positions of power, inherently giving them an edge over those who don't have strong families. at least that's how it is here

2020-10-04 06:37:41 UTC

Charter it

2020-10-04 06:38:13 UTC

Return the universities to the churches, amirite? Let's go medieval.

2020-10-04 06:38:24 UTC

who cares how it works out, they get the same oppertunity with less the debt

2020-10-04 06:38:41 UTC

You already see it with STEM schools....locally here in Texas, they have a lottery system and take applicants from their regions, and they do pretty well, but like. The reality in the USA is that this means you have a lot of students boarding away from home.

2020-10-04 06:38:44 UTC

I don't give a damn, but government cannot run this. Do you get me - not the FED

2020-10-04 06:38:45 UTC

And family is important

2020-10-04 06:38:56 UTC

I agree, it will work out. The amount of corruption in University Administration offices cannot go on.

2020-10-04 06:39:17 UTC

Just moribund bloat

2020-10-04 06:39:17 UTC

every time you back a stud loan, they raise tuition

2020-10-04 06:39:38 UTC

institutions of man, not of learning

2020-10-04 06:39:47 UTC

Yeah, the market has no backstop, it is non-stop ever increasing supply of money to inflate demand.

2020-10-04 06:40:00 UTC

We have a debt to end

2020-10-04 06:40:13 UTC

Bring the Jubilee

2020-10-04 06:40:24 UTC

I appreciate the views and inside information you bring to discussions like these @platonic chain . it's hard for me to see the public school system as anything more than an expensive corrupt indoctrination machine with 0 alternatives.

2020-10-04 06:40:25 UTC

and most of that is to welfare state. Everything needs to be in trust actual

2020-10-04 06:40:48 UTC

The public school system is not a monolith. Remember, most public schools have their decisions made by LOCALLY ELECTED BOARDS.

2020-10-04 06:40:58 UTC

like the MAJORITY of their decisions are on a local scale

2020-10-04 06:41:06 UTC

Education system isn't wrong or evil, just a good thing corrupted, like so many.
