@JowlOwl We are in a transition. Historically, censorship in America was decried, universally. It is only recently that it has become fashionable. Mein Kampf was always a 'case-in-point' in classes when we'd discuss censorship. People would say how it, and other Nazi things, were banned in Germany. The argument here is that sunshine is the best disinfectant. Let people read and see. Ban it and some people will think there is power in the banned thing, if it wasn't a threat it wouldn't be banned.
That is changing as the Left's hold over the culture and academia becomes more hegemonic.

mein kampf isn't banned but try and get any later NS/WN litterature that develops the concept better and clearer and good luck finding it
and there was a HUGE amount of litterature that was destroyed in germany after ww2
