I think this gives Trump all the leverage he needs to win the election. Heβs in the age range that is most endangered by the virus so if he survives he has a huge amount of leverage
It also scares me that it gives the opposition the chance to take him out and blame it on the virus

Sounds like they want a baseline on his vitals, especially because heβs on an experimental drug. Itβs more accurate to have those taken at the hospital (and continuously). They probably also want to scan his lungs to take a look at them and just donβt want to say that. They can also regulate airflow by placing him in a specific room.

I fear that he is a little sicker than let on. This reminds me very much of when Boris Johnson first came down with the virus. Everything was precautionary, until it wasn't. Now they are much better at dealing with the virus and the lethality is far less. But still the President is 74 and significantly overweight.

My opinion is that the virus has gotten more contagious, but weaker. That's what virus' do.

Viruses mutate and those mutations change the severity and transmissibility of the virus. It can go either direction, howeverβit can become more benign, or more severe; more contagious, or less contagious. I think scientists are still chasing COVID and its mutations to figure out how itβs evolving.
Covid is probably scared of catching Trump π
