Thinking of the errors that can be made in identifying people in line-ups... there was a case (1960s) in my home town where a man was identified as the murderer of a HS cheerleader. He went to prison for it, based on being identified as the killer, but was recently released when proof came out that he was NOT guilty ...(ended up committing suicide because he couldn't regain a life).
