SAN DIEGO — Scripps Ranch High will have extra patrols on its campus Tuesday in response to a potential threat against the school, according to a San Diego Unified School District spokesperson.

San Diego police and San Diego Unified police are working to investigate the potential threat, Maureen Magee told FOX 5.

Extra police will be on hand out of an abundance of caution. The district adds that the safety and security of students is its top priority.

No information about the potential threat was available.

SAN DIEGO -- Some northbound lanes at San Ysidro and Otay Mesa ports of entry will close starting Tuesday as equipment is installed ahead of the migrant caravan arrival at the U.S.-Mexico border, U.S. Customs and Border Protection announced.

Beginning at 8 a.m. Tuesday, at least three northbound lanes at San Ysidro Port of Entry and one lane at Otay Mesa Port of Entry will be closed for the installation of barbed wire, barriers, barricades and fencing. The materials are in preparation for the potential safety and security risk the caravan could cause, according to CBP.

The lanes are not expected to reopen until sometime after the caravan arrives.

“CBP has been and will continue to prepare for the potential arrival of thousands of people migrating in a caravan heading towards the border of the United States,” said Pete Flores, Director of Field Operations in San Diego. “These preparations include training exercises, deploying additional CBP personnel, and partnering with the U.S. military to harden our ports of entry and the border area between those legal crossings into the U.S.”

Border officials recommend people traveling northbound to the U.S. prepare for the possibility of longer wait times due to the lane closures.

The Special Purpose Marine Task Force-7 from Camp Pendleton is already stationed at both the San Ysidro Port of Entry and at Otay Mesa.

A spokesperson confirmed to FOX 5 Monday troops are now also located in Imperial Beach and El Centro with plans to assist at the Caliexco Port of Entry.

The mission of SPMAGTF-7 continues to be supporting US Customs and Border Protection, enabling them to protect the Southern Border.

I found some posts on the Chan that are comparing these times with the Lord of the Rings. I had a dream last year in September that was about the Orcs chasing Frodo, who was actually President Trump with the ring of power. President Trump was on his way to throw the ring of power into Mount Doom, but the Orcs (in my dream were MS-13/ISIS) were hunting him down to kill him and take the ring of power. (I was Sam in the dream.). Giant Eagles swooped down and picked President Trump up and I and took us to safety in a giant cave. The giant eagle was on guard at the opening of the cave and would not let anything bad happen to our President. Since I was in the cave, I decided to ask him some questions that were bothering me. So I asked him why was George Soros not in jail, why was Antifa allowed to riot and beat up Trump supporters, was he an agent of the NWO as some say.....and so on. But the President paid no attention to my questions as he was busy talking about the eagle, and how big it was, and magnificent, brave...and many other complements. He was very impressed and thankful to the eagle. I told the President that the eagle was there to protect him, because there are many of us praying for his protection . I had this dream 2 weeks before Los Vegas. We need to continue to pray for our President and our country. This war is spiritual.

Stacey Abrams’ campaign on Sunday filed a federal lawsuit asking a judge to delay vote certifications in Georgia’s unsettled governor’s race by one day and block counties from tossing some provisional and absentee ballots that may have minor mistakes on them.

Brian Kemp, her Republican challenger, issued a statement a day earlier calling for Abrams to concede. Kemp has declared victory and said it is “mathematically impossible” for her campaign to force a runoff.

Fox 5 Atlanta reported that Kemp is up by 59,000 votes. Kemp had 50.2 percent of the vote by early Monday.
