The reason why alot of christians talk about it is to warn the non belivers that they need to turn to jesus before its to late

Yeah I agree if you truly love someone you'd make sure they are saved without a doubt

My take on it is that the end times will be initiated when the last soul written on the book of life accepts Christ

probably hasn't been born yet

But we don't know for sure, we'll find out. Time will tell.

We should still fight for a better future as christians and not use end times as an excuse to lay around and wait
