What is the AF position on free trade?
I think Nick is a socialist but I think it depends on a lot of factors
That's cringe
He doesnt believe in free trade?
Nick believes that culture is more important than economics
He used to be libertarian but switched over once he realized the cultural direction of the world
Tim curry that has nothing to do with free trade
How does having free trade limit our culture wtf
Trading internationally
It's irrelevant anyway
Is nick just a larping like protectionist
It's called "AMERICA FIRST" for a reason
Well I'd argue free trade benefits america. That is just presupposing that it doesnt
GG @Deleted User, you just advanced to level <:ezgif179e8c5c31011:712107431416561750> 1 !
America right now funds it's enemies and relies on them to sustain
I'm not a socialist by any means but the situation is tough. I just think combating globalism and the Chinese should be our number one priority economically.
Tim curry what the heck does that mean we "fund our enemies" do u have examples of this. Also what do u mean "combating globalism" is that economic globalization which all economists have agreed is overwhelmingly beneficial for the US or is it some j3w conspiracy
U.S.-China Trade Facts
China is currently our largest goods trading partner with $659.8 billion in total (two way) goods trade during 2018. Goods exports totaled $120.3 billion; goods imports totaled $539.5 billion. The U.S. goods trade deficit with China was $419.2 billion in 2018
Does that mean that the US's economy was hurt by the trade deficit. Again no economist would think that the deficit alone hurt the US economy
Do you not see the issue with China controlling most of American goods?
They don't really, America just imports a lot from them because it is beneficial for both sides. What problem do u have with America importing from China which hugely helps its economy?
I think you have very different goals from the AF movement
I don't believe in the idea that more GDP should be our priority
Well u haven't demonstrated that free trade hurts the US in any way
it is not beneficial for both sides. Having more than half of our companies overseas does not benefit America except muh flatscreen is a little bit cheaper
NAFTA is a perfect example of free trade hurting America
Yeah
free trade is great philosophically as an element and component to western civilization and the overall idea the founders held. However when it is unchecked in terms of being a more globalizing force it hurts the United States and any other nation that conducts unchecked free trade
@teebird38 you have mod privilege now bro
