We cannot assess the issue of ET - Alien is by definition unknowable - Further more and civilisation that makes contact is gonna be at least a 3 on the kardashev scale. So advanced that the way they interract with us is probably a synthetic proxy - eg the alien greys

do you ever talk to people rather than at them? why don't you just ask them? the amount of time spent beating around the bush could be better spent on something else
