RENO, Nev. (News 4 & Fox 11) — A man who was posing as a doctor at Renown hospital was arrested on Saturday, according to the Reno Police Department.

Officer Travis Warren says officers responding to reports of a man impersonating a doctor at Renown Regional Medical Center on Saturday, June 30.
Brandon McNearney, 32, was arrested on an unrelated contempt of court charge, according to Warren.

McNearney was not arrested for impersonating a doctor.
"There is no law pertaining to falsely identifying or representing yourself as a doctor in general," says Warren.
Warren says to his knowledge McNearney was not able to contact any patients and no patient information was compromised.
McNearney is being held at the Washoe County Detention Facility.
