It occurs to me this morning that this room is a microcosm of democracy / republicanism. People are encouraged to speak freely, are responsible for their own actions (liberty!), but the social censorship eventually wins out. Further, while it appears we have completely freedom, we've arrived at a social contract of acceptable behavior and when things get out of hand a mod has the power to kick someone who will not comply. Peace through strength. Hmmm. Funny that.

We also have lots of agendas.
